These are the small images I made for The Japan Times "The prison inside: Japan's hikikomori lack relationships, not physical spaces" article.

In these illustrations I depicted a young hikikomori man peeking out of a window and a woman sitting on the floor staring blankly at the TV. You can read the full article here.
