Illustrations for A Kind of True Love

7 June 2019 ● less than 1 min read ● 2 images

These are two illustrations I did for Hengtee Lim's story A Kind of True Love. I've been experimenting with using only two colors for a while, but this time I also decided to play with screen tones.

Years ago I saw a salary-man holding  a gravure idol magazine at Shinjuku Station crossing and that image got stuck in my mind. This illustration is very self indulgent, but I'm glad Hengtee let me use this idea for his story.
