This rough sketch was made for the Art Bye Critique collective's online show, The Screen and Beyond, showing artists' responses to the COVID-19 pandemic. https://www.mzacharias.com/art-byte-critique-presents-the-screen-and-beyond/
With social isolation, I see the outside through my screened windows a lot more than I do otherwise. Dust that flew in through the window screen was collected and used to make the paint. Then the dusty air that blows in, not the screen itself, was drawn. Sometimes objects block that air flow.
I like the concept but I think I will have to go back and redraw this series with more concise, 'cleaner' frames.
