A piece created for and with materials from my favourite art shop in Tokyo, UEMATSU. Soon after arriving in Japan to study the traditional arts, I first encountered dragons in Nikko, Tochigi.

Since then, these revered and elusive creatures have come to represent values close to heart. Not only do they defend, protect and herald hope and courage, but they also testify to our most innovative, hopeful and powerful gift: imagination.
