Rapha | Ride for Kumamoto

Between 14th-16th April, 2016, a series of earthquakes hit Kumamoto on the far-west island of Kyushu. In response, Rapha Japan took their Mobile Cycle Club to locations across the country to raise funds for the area that hosted Rapha's Prestige ride in Oguni back in 2013.

The final two days were in Oguni, Kumamoto where the tourism industry is an important source of revenue, areas that would normally be backlogged with cars at this time of year are now relatively empty, so 100's of cyclists staying in hotels, eating local food and visiting the numerous volcanic hot springs is another way of providing help.
