  • CANVAS Sequential Art Meetup - Comics & Visual Storytelling #05

Calling all Tokyo-based creatives interested in comics and visual storytelling! Julia Nascimento, Hengtee Lim from Everyst, and the Canvas Tokyo team (www.canvas.co.com) invite you to join us for an evening of great talks and meeting new people!

In our 5th event we're proud to have members from TELL (Tokyo English Lifeline) present a special project, called TELL Stories. http://tellstoriesjapan.com

TELL is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing world-class, effective support and counseling services to Japan’s international community as well as helping to address the country’s growing mental healthcare needs. The TELL Stories project is a visual storytelling campaign based on the lives of real-life callers to help raise awareness for the most preventable cause of death in the world – suicide.

As always we'll hold a brief QA after the talks (so be sure to mention any topics you're interested in on the CANVAS events page!) and then open the floor to networking, conversation, and collaboration, so we encourage everyone to bring a sample of their work to share with other participants!

Admission is free but space is limited to 20, so only sign up if you’re sure you can attend! If you discover you will not be able to attend for some reason, please ensure you update your RSVP so your place can be given to someone in the waitlist.

We’re looking forward to seeing you!

    Julia Nascimento and Hengtee Lim
