• What we'll do
Short poses session for gesture drawing. Suited for all levels, beginners to advanced. We are happy to provide instructions for those who are struggling to improve or who need tips to the next level.

We will have a Japanese male model who will disguise as a Samurai in Hakama (Kimono) with a sword and give us some historical swordplay poses. Very special and challenging drawing practice!

Instructions and demonstrations will be given as-needed basis.

Wine and hot beverages will be served.

Attendance fee: 2000 JPY
(A book of 10 tickets: 17000 JPY)

20 min. x 1, 5 min. x 4, 10 min. x 2, 10 min. x 2, 20 min. x 1, 20 min. x 1 (120 min. in total)

The studio will be open from 13:30 and posing will start around 14:00. The space is limited; if you decide not to come in the last minutes, please kindly change your RSVP to NO to give the spot to other artist. When no number of available spots shown or there are more than three spots available, no need to book, you can just drop-in.

6min. walk from Uguisudani station on the JR Yamanote line

Please find a glass-walled, light blue building located on the main street, Showa dori and take the spiral stairs to the 2nd floor. Google maps' street view shows the other side of the building but the door is locked on the back side. If you cannot find the place, feel free to message the organizer or leave a comment for a help.

Materials are not included, please bring your own. Pencils and some pieces of paper can be purchased on site at cost. Tables, chairs, drawing boards and easels are available.

この回はクロッキーになります。アナトミーの学習や夜からの固定ポーズに向けてのウォームアップに最適です。ご希望の方には指導付きですので初心者の方にも気負いなくご参加いただけます。

日本人男性に袴姿で剣術の構えなどを披露していただきます。普段はファッションモデルとしてご活躍の、着物の着こなしにも慣れた方です。大変貴重な機会ですのでお見逃しなく。

講師によるデモンストレーションやコメントはご希望に応じて行います。

スタジオは13:30オープン、ポージングは14:00開始予定です。参加人数に限りがあるため、参加申し込み後ご都合が悪くなられた方はRSVPをNOに変更をお願いします。残席数に3席以上余裕がある場合、残席数が表示されていない場合は予約なしでもお越しいただけます。

昭和通り(大通り)に面したガラス張りの水色の建物になります。螺旋階段で2階までお越しください。Google mapsでは裏通りが表示されますが、そちら側の入り口は締まっておりますのでご注意ください。道が分からない、その他ご不便がありましたらメッセージでご連絡ください。

スケッチブック、鉛筆、パステル、水彩、油彩などの画材は各自ご持参ください。机、椅子、ドローイングボード、イーゼルはご用意があります。紙と鉛筆はご購入いただけます。
