  • CANVAS Sequential Art Meetup - Comics & Visual Storytelling #01

Calling all Tokyo-based creatives interested in comics and visual storytelling! Julia Nascimento, Hengtee Lim from LongShorts, and the Canvas Tokyo team (www.canvas.co.com) invite you to join us for an evening of great talks and meeting new people!

After introducing ourselves and taking briefly about the local storytelling scene, we have three guests (Tim Young, Mulele Jarvis, and Raul Trevino) talking about their experiences in sequential art, followed by a QA/discussion session (so be sure to bring up any topics you have on the CANVAS events page so we can make sure it’s covered!)

After the talks, we’ll open the floor to networking, conversation, and collaboration, so we encourage everyone to bring a sample of your work to share with other participants!

Team LongShorts in Shimokitazawa has generously allowed us to use their lovely space for the evening!

Admission is free but space is limited to 20, so only sign up if you’re sure you can attend! If you discover that you will not be able to attend for some reason, please ensure you update your RSVP so your place can be given to someone in the waitlist.

We’re looking forward to seeing you!

    Julia Nascimento and Hengtee Lim

I can't come earlier than 20:30 due to work (and that's the optimistic scenario), should I join the waitlist in this case?

Thanks for your interest in the meetup, Petar Tasev! There are already some people in the waitlist, but feel free to join them if you'd like to.

Ok, I see what you mean.
