We all enjoy the high productivity of Ruby on Rails in the development of our web applications. However, when we developed applications to support the broadcasting of the FIFA World Cup, we we faced challenges specific to enterprise applications. As a result, we developed the Wulin Master framework, which facilitates the development of enterprise applications using Rails by introducing concepts such as screen and grids.

Profile

Maxime has been developing in Ruby for about 10 years and founded Ekohe, a Ruby on Rails development firm with offices in Shanghai, Tokyo, Vancouver and Paris. He's been living in Asia for the past 14 years, in Shanghai until last year, and recently moved to Tokyo.

Innovation doesn’t just happen. It happens to satisfy a need. Ox, Oj, and now WABuR are all projects that were built in response to needs. We will look at how Ox got started, how Ox led to Oj, and what needs the new WABuR project hopes to fulfill.

Profile

Peter has been writing Ruby code for 7 years and C code since getting a computer. He has written high performance trading system, low level protocols, and business level applications in C, C++, Ruby, Python, Java, and LISP. His most notable OSS projects is Oj, a JSON parser as a C extension for Ruby.
