About me

I love the creative process, making music and visuals in particular. Music and visuals that evoke a visceral response, not just intellectual masturbation or baser instinct tribal noise. It is one of my "Zendos" (Zen Ways), or practices to achieve "mind; no mind" (Mushin). I have been an international recording artist (solo), composer/producer/engineer since the late 70's, when I was involved with the nascent "Detroit Techno" scene. I have several albums and singles in my catalog, as well as about 40 videos (several on Youtube). I have lived away from the USA (SF) for 27 years, many in Japan, but also Europe, India, UK, South Korea, etc. I have been in over 40 countries. My work blends my various influences and life experiences and philosophical leanings (Zen and Taoism); therefore, it is quite eclectic (electro-acoustic, blending electronica with acoustic instruments from all over the world). I have my own very-well equipped recording studio (for me--not a commercial facility). I am always looking for skilled visual artists to collaborate with (to make videos, for me to do film soundtracks, or album covers, etc.). Last year, some of my music was placed in a 'semi-major' motion picture. "Describe myself in 3 words (sounds like a job interview)!" ..."I am not knowing." (sorry, that's 4...but I'm an old drummer, so math is not my forte --bad pun known but not intended).
