Tsuyu (梅雨), or 'rainy season', is said to usually start around June 7 in Tokyo. However, this year it felt like an early start, with some prolonged periods of rain in May.
Either way, it's a tranquil and contemplative time of whitish-grey clouds hugging tops of buildings, and a soft ambient light creating the overall low-contrast that's easy on eyes.
