Bushinkan Aikido | Logo

An exercise in Photoshop "forging" of a Tsuba, a Japanese sword wrist guard, Bushinkan's new logo took several Tsuba photos as material source (from a Tsuba catalog I have edited), and about two weeks of editing and compositing.

In order to "forge" a Tsuba following Bushinkan's original logo, while maintaining the veritable look of a "possible piece", I have used the work I've done on the Tsuba catalog, and extensive conversations and studies with both Ricardo sensei, and Ottaiano sensei, a renowned antiquarian specialized in Japanese art.
