I was completely honored to work with the iconic Japanese jewelry brand MIKIMOTO in collaboration with Vice Japan on a teaser for their 125th anniversary event - “FEEL THE PEARL” happening at the MAIN GINZA STORE until SEPTEMBER 5th.
The intention of the piece was to follow the pearl on its journey into the mysterious depths to which it was created. The deep black and rich blue tones paralleled the exhibition space allowing the pearl and various jewelry to act as bright beacons of light.
The positive response from the client prompted a secondary video that showcased a historical overview beginning with the founder, Kokichi Mikimoto creating the world's first pearl made with human hands. The duration transitions through various highlights in the company’s 125 year storied history.

Very cool! Would be nice to see a video of it in motion in the train station!
