KAWA: Nishi Ogikubo

21 October 2017 ● 2 mins read ● 12 images

This past June, Neko Box took inspiration from one of Japan's most influential 20th century illustrators – Junichi Nakahara. Nakahara's stylized illustrations created a timeless aesthetic that helped empower woman of the era. Our June issue of KAWA takes you to the boutique-filled streets of Nishi Ogikubo for a day trip of vintage antique shopping, boutique browsing and tea sipping! Take your time and enjoy this slow-paced West Tokyo suburb.

KAWA is included inside Neko Box – a monthly subscription that includes uniquely themed Japanese-made ceramics, homewares and more. It's aim is to offer insight into places that have a rich cultural background so that subscribers can mark these places on their next travel itinerary and to add value to the items included in their Neko Box.
