KAWA 2: Yokohama

8 December 2016 ● 1 min read ● 7 images

KAWA is a curated guide to shops, restaurants and historical sites to visit within Tokyo (and eventually, greater Japan.) It's purpose is to offer visitors insight into the wealth of unique and often hidden places worth adding to their travel itinerary. It's included within Neko Box; a monthly subscription box that provides Japanese homewares, stationery and cultural related goods to overseas (and domestic) customers.

This month's issue focused on places to visit in Yokohama and explaining the featured product: a Daruma. Our challenge was to create interesting compositions using only red and black as our printer only allowed 2 colors.

Dude, this is so cool! The art direction is fantastic!

Thanks Mark Mcfarlane ! Each month is a chance to experiment with layout, so hopefully we can tighten it up as time goes on.
