From a recent weekend trip to Mt Mitake and part of a personal project exploring the premise that conventional wisdom regarding the way we travel often does not serve us especially well. Among these is the idea that there is such a thing as good weather or bad weather. On this occasion, we spent the weekend enveloped in fog and in drizzling rain. Ostensibly bad weather. But had it been sunny and warm, it wouldn’t have been remotely as special as it was.
