A kind of a manifesto video of 20 points of what I think architecture is.
Martin. Good meeting you at Kaisu this past weekend. I agree with you that the current state of architecture creates 'fixed static moments in space." However I enjoy playing with this notion. I am more of an "imaginary Architect"(not licensed). I am working on a book titled Mobileopolis where I have created a world of colossal vehicles; mobile cities, neighborhoods, mountains, airports, you name it. Mobile architecture. I am curious where would this fall into your definition of 'architecture?'
Hans Hollein use to say "everything is architecture", and I kind of agree. Architecture is not just the build environment, but thinking about architecture, writing and drawing architecture are equally architectural as well. See my other video on drawing architecture here: https://www.youtube.com/edit?o=U&video_id=6jkLZwQl-tY
Martin Van Der Linden , I LOVE Lebbeus Woods' drawings! When I was in architecture school, I spent hours in library tracing famous illustrators' works, trying to discover their secrets. Of course I have my own style now, which is a bit more organic perhaps. To give you an idea what I am talking about: http://www.danielschallau.com/work#/new-page-62/ I'm going to follow your videos. Nice series.

I'm a Dutch architect based in Japan. My main interest is in the creation of an authentic experience of space.
