Solace

Solace (2017) is an experimental short film about the necessity of grief, an ode to sadness. The film comprises of different people crying in front of the camera. No explanation for their sorrow is given to the viewer.

As a film maker, I wish through this film to give the viewer an opportunity to feel compassion and experience the purifying feeling of crying. I hope that the viewer can join the persons on the screen for a shared crying experience. Through this shared experience I hope that the viewers can have a cathartic moment and cleans themselves from any sorrow they might be carrying at the moment.
