Starting soon, Canvas Artist Talks take place on selected Mondays at Good Heavens in Shimokiatzawa. Happening on a regular basis, they are informal meetings where artists get together to discuss art and ideas. If you are just starting out in the Tokyo art world or if you have been making art here for decades, you are welcome to join us. But it isn’t only artists who are invited, all Canvas creatives are welcome to sit in. The only cost is the price of your drink.
What can I expect?
Every time Canvas Artist Talks take place, 5 guest artists give short talks. Guest artists will share projects, discoveries, portfolios or any other subject of their choice for about 5 minutes, at which point their topic will be talked about by the group. After the group talk, the next guest artist begins. Guest artists are free to share selected images too. In short, 5 artists give talks that each last about 5 minutes.
When do Canvas Artist Talks happen?
The first Canvas Artist Talk is on Monday 31st July, starting at 7:30pm.
Canvas Artist Talks will continue on the last Mondays of October, January and April.
