The Tokyo Coffee Collection had a unique slogan – seven cups of coffee, seven stories – which allowed me to ask each participant an interesting question:

"What story does your particular coffee tell?"

It took a while to gather all of the stories. It also took time to translate each story in a way that felt reflective of each roaster. The result isn't perfect, but there's great variety in these stories, and I like to think it shows off some of what's happening in coffee here at the moment.
