Special Report for L’hebdo, le Quotidien de l’art: Japan, a new destination for galleries

“Still somewhat outside the global art market, Japan is increasingly attracting international galleries. Analysis.”

I had the pleasure of researching the current state of this art scene in Japan for the past few months focusing on the recent multiple arrivals of galleries on the island. Find my report about this in the hebdo of French media Le Quotidien de l’art, also available online (English via Google Translate). Published in December 2024.

In the article get insights from galleries directors, Perrotin, Pace, space Un, Ceysson & Bénétière, as well as Yuko Yamamoto, director of CADAN (Contemporary Art Dealers Association Nippon).

Le Quotidien de l’Art (36 000 readers) is a daily newspaper for art and culture professionals covering the important news of the art market, awards, important international events, archeology, heritage and institutions.
