Shiso mentaiko package design by Luis Renato Kriegel | Canvas Tokyo

This special edition package for shiso-flavored cod roe was part of the rebranding project for Minato Suisan (港水産). To present a more traditional design, I first used bento boxes and japanese laquer as inspiration. The final design emulates the japanese laquer technique of “tamamushi-nuri”(玉虫塗), to represent the green of the shiso leaf.
