Canvas has two types of user - Standard and Tokyo Member. All Canvas users start by creating a Standard Account, and can request to be upgraded to a Tokyo Member at any time.
Standard Account
By signing up for a Standard Account, you will be able to:
- Have your own profile page, where you can add creations to your portfolio, add links to your social network profiles or websites, share your bio.
- Keep up to date with the latest creations, events, jobs, members and discussions in the community by receiving our weekly digest email.
- Like creations posted by Canvas members.
- Follow your favourite creatives to get updated when they share new work.
- Post jobs or projects for Canvas members and visitors to apply to (coming soon).
Great for people who
- Live in Tokyo and want to request an upgrade to a Tokyo Membership (see below) after creating a profile.
- Live in Tokyo and don’t want to be listed as a Tokyo Member, but would like to use the above features.
- Live elsewhere in the world but would like to engage with and easily follow the latest goings on in Tokyo’s creative community.
Tokyo Member
Standard Account holders can request to become a Tokyo Member, which provides the following additional abilities:
- Be discoverable on the list of Tokyo creatives.
- Comment on other Tokyo Members’ creations.
- Post and comment on Tokyo events and discussions.
- Creations will be discoverable in the Tokyo activity feed.
Great for people who
- Tokyo-based professional or amateur creatives who want to expand their connections, freelance or job opportunities, or audience for their work.
