BUGFIX: Facebook made some changes to their login system recently. Yesterday we discovered that Facebook login wasn't working, and have just released a fix. You can now log in with Facebook as usual.

Hi Everyone! This is Adam P, designer from the Canvas Team!

We just updated the creation page to show additional creations from the same creative!

Just check out the bottom section of Vitor Santos's new upload!
https://www.canvas.co.com/creations/2996

This means more of your amazing creations will be visible when people look at your work ;)

I hope everyone finds this useful, any delicious feedback would be appreciated!

ENHANCEMENT: From now on the creations that become trending (i.e. quickly gathering attention shortly after being posted) will be featured on the official Canvas Twitter and Facebook timelines.

ENHANCEMENT: The Creatives page now has a much more useful filtering tool to help you easily find the creatives you are interested in.

As usual, please give us your feedback, especially if you'd like us to improve it!

CHANGE: Now new members can sign up without invitation! They will join Canvas with a more restricted Standard Account which allows only to create a profile, to upload creations and to like other's creations. Standard Accounts are therefore not able to comment on works, post on discussions or create new events. Moreover, Standard Accounts are not searchable in the Creatives section and their creations are not featured in the Activity or Creations sections. Standard Accounts can request to be upgraded to a full Canvas account if they meet some criteria, like living in Tokyo. And as before, if a new member joins using an invitation sent by you, they will directly join as a full Canvas account without the mentioned restrictions.
This change will be quite transparent for you at the moment, so that you will probably not notice any changes. However, it will allow a new wave of enhancements that we will be releasing in the coming weeks, hopefully increasing the usefulness of the Canvas platform for our creative community. Please, let us know if you have any ideas or comments. As always, thanks for making Canvas such an active community!
PS: If you want to see the new Signup page (with more details on the Standard Accounts) remember to log out before going to the new Signup page.

NEW: When a creative joins Canvas Tokyo as a member we will spread the good news to the world on our Twitter and Facebook. And so we will do when you add a new event, so that it gets as much exposure as possible.

NEW: Follow other Canvas members and get in-site notifications when they post creations, discussion topics, events and more!

Simply click on the "follow" button on another member's profile to get started! Check your notifications by hitting the bell icon next to your name in the top bar.

As an added bonus, you'll also see notifications when another member follows you or likes your creations.

This is the first of a number of planned improvements to help Canvas members keep up to date with what's happening on the site. We'll be making ongoing improvements to the design and functionality of the follow and notifications features.

In particular:

● We know that a lot of you would like to be proactively notified about new events as they're added to the calendar, so we're working on some solutions for that.
● We've intentionally hidden the number of follows/followers a member has to begin, but may expose that information in the future.
● We're still working on the mobile app, which will include push notifications. Information about how you can join our beta test coming soon!
● We'll need to reassess how we send email notifications in the near future, and would like to give you more control of what you receive and how often.

Comments and feedback much appreciated as always!!!

Hi everyone, this is Ian, one of the developers at Tacchi. I wanted to inform you all of the following:

Unfortunately, adding of Facebook Event URLs on our Add Event page is temporarily unavailable due to a change in Facebook's policy.

https://developers.facebook.com/blog/post/2018/04/04/facebook-api-platform-product-changes/

Please note that you can still add Meetup and Doorkeeper events, however.

We are currently applying for App Review with Facebook and once this process has been completed, it will again be possible to add Facebook events. Thank you for your patience!

Facebook login had been broken for a while due to Facebook making changes to their API (thanks Cambridge Analytica!!!). This is now fixed.

Please note that adding Facebook events to the Events list is currently broken due to Facebook's API changes. We're waiting to receive approval from Facebook to access this data and reenable the functionality.
