About me

I love to imagine things and then bring them into some semblance of reality. I also shoot/edit video, with a dash of motion graphics. I run a small team called Wildcard Crew, video-making extraordinaires.

I can watch documentaries, visit museums, zoos, aquariums and go hiking ad nauseam, particularly in awe of the natural world.

My Creations

  1. Project Reel 2015

    6 November 2015

A collection of projects completed as 'Wildcard Crew', my Tokyo based video production company.

  2. Earnslaw Burn - NZ

    14 January 2016

The photo represents the climax of a 17 hour adventure my wife and I shared in 2013. It hardly does the place justice, but I wanted a memento, as the journey was significant on many levels for us both. The rarely-trodden route gained a few more visitors, after the Hobbit... continue reading (1, 1 image)

  3. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZexuxvZ-pyg

This is a music video I made for a special YouTube collaboration and Toei Studios
The outline was to feature 6 female YouTube creators, with an original song by singer-songwriter Sayulee, and utilize the set and location provided by Toei Kyoto Studio Park. It was shot in the YouTube... continue reading (0, 1 image)

  4. This video of Toorourrong Reservoir gives a unique perspective of 7 years of regrowth and renewal, since the 2009 Victorian bushfires - in particular, the Kinglake area and surrounds that were burnt out by the devastating bushfires, and which also caused tragic loss of life.

  5. This video features views of The Caves at Inverloch, Victoria, Australia. A well known as site for prehistoric fossils of dinosaur bones and other creatures. It's known to me and my family as our best fishing spot, and a place we got trapped once by a rising tide.

Shot in... continue reading (0, 0 images)

  6. Our family has been going to Inverloch for generations, but I had never explored the beaches quite like this.
The rock formation, though wasting away, resembles the top of Australia.
    Music: CMA - You're free
    Shot in 4k.

  7. Peak bloom of the Sakura is short lived, and ends in a rain of blossom petals.

I thought I would miss out this year! Caught these moments outside my apartment the day I got back from Australia.

    Music: bensound.com
    Shot in 4k

  8. Wilson's Promontory is lashed by the wind and waters of the Bass Straight. The foothills of forested granite mountains are etched, broken and tumble down into the churning blue. The boulders of broken headlands mark the boundaries of sweeping, white sand beaches.

Beaches featured: Tidal River, Squeaky Beach, Whisky Bay... continue reading (0, 0 images)

  9. Mountainous region west of Tokyo. Only a couple of hours by train from Shinjuku!
Shot with Phantom 3 Pro in 4k, some shots with Ronin-M & A7s with Atomos Ninja Assassin recorder.

  10. Video about a great little onsen ryokan, pure beach-front peace and relaxation south of Nagoya at Wakamatsu Chita.

  11. A collection of aerial explorations in various deserted landscapes.
