About me
I am a Swede who has lived in Japan for almost 11 years. I have studied DTM (desk top music) at Digital Arts Sendai for 2 years. After this I worked for a music production company for 6 years, making music for pachinko, purikura, cm etc. At the moment I am looking for a new full time job in Tokyo, where I can use my skills as a composer.
I am also interested in smaller projects, feel free to text me whatever the case may be.
I have a couple of side projects, one of them is "Robotprins". Robotprins is my artist name when I make chiptunes, which I have been doing mostly these days. Sometimes I perform at small bars/clubs, either dj-ing, or playing the guitar along with my gameish tracks. I only use magical 8bit plug when making this type of music, and people have told me my tracks sound very authentic, like the music used to sound on gameboy or NES.
I am a big fan of Japanese game music, which is one of my biggest source of inspiration. I am however a composer first, and a game lover second, and listen to all kinds of music.
I have played the guitar for 18 years. I am influenced by many guitarists such as John Petrucci, Steve Vai, Pat Metheny. I enjoying melodic lines rather than technical ones, I try to include blues and jazz phrasing in my solos.
I have played the guitar in several bands over the years. Rock, Hevay metal, Jazz, Funk, Pop are a few of the styles my bands have been playing.
As a composer, I challenge myself on trying to make any kind of genre. I have had to learn many genres I was not too familiar with during my 6 years of composing for a living.
My goal for the future is to continue explore new music, try out new ideas and hopefully make music that will make an impact on someones life.
