About me

I set up the Centre for Urban Design and Mental Health as a global think tank to consider how to build better mental health into cities. I work with architects, designers, urban planners, psychologists, academics, and others. I will be developing some events in Tokyo. If you are interested in the links between urban design and mental health, please get in touch.

I perform funny true stories about my life, in the style of famous US storytelling show The Moth. In addition, I run Perfect Liars Club, a comedy story interrogation show that started in Washington DC several years ago, and is coming to Tokyo from October 2016. The premise is that four people tell a story about something unlikely-sounding that happened to them. Three of the stories are true, but one is not. The audience interrogates the suspects to try to catch the liar. If you are interested in being one of the suspects (or just attending), please get in touch.

As part of Perfect Liars Club, I write a weekly blog about indie events and other cool things happening in Tokyo to help build that community. Enjoy.

I also make websites, and draw a little - and I take graphic notes for meetings, conferences, etc.
