I love me when I'm writing because I've found that it is not only the time when I'm most honest with myself and with other people, but the only time I can truly be profoundly selfish yet inexplicably selfless simultaneously. "Self" becomes this thing I have as much dominion over as anyone else, that acts in its self-interests, which just happen to coincide with the interests of many. And you can't beat that with a baseball bat!
