Artisan's stool

1 June 2020 ● 1 min read ● 5 images

Sturdy and heavy, naive looking* stool, low backrest, easy to pick up and move around for the active sitter.

- I rather avoid painting or covering raw materials, so I've blued (blackened) the backrest steel bars by using heat and dipping them in old engine oil. wood: oak 楢 backrest: wooden block on blued steel bars. dimensions: seat: 260x260x450h backrest: 80x280x170h from seat.

* This is not a children's chair, the high is standard for a dining table and the backrest aims the lumbar region of an adult. However, it can be adapted to any requested high.
