Harrow - Wanderer (2012)

15 June 2018 ● less than 1 min read ● 3 images

Year: 2012

Mediums: Rotring Isograph Pen, Adobe Creative Suite 5.5, Canon Rebel T3i, Adobe Lightroom 4

Client: Harrow

Caspar David Friedrich’s beautiful painting Wanderer above the Sea of Fog was heavily drawn upon for Harrow’s debut LP artwork.

Like the source of inspiration, the art depicts a cloaked figure ascending a mountain shrouded by mist. Where the two pieces differ, obviously, is that Harrow’s figure is confronting an awful faceless giant. As such, the theme of reflection becomes a theme of conflict.
