Come celebrate the release of our zine, "hajime" on Saturday evening, 4/14! Drinks, snacks, conversation, and of course a fresh new zine and original artwork to enjoy in the awesome gallery space provided and sponsored by collaborative workspace and living space community: Tokyo Chapter.

About the Zine:

Seven Tokyo artists have collaborated to create "hajime," a zine collecting illustrations, comics, and poetry about what it is like to be immersed in the experience of Tokyo.

Come by the gallery at ninetytwo13 to see the original artworks that came together to become "hajime," and purchase your own copy of the zine at a special discounted price at the opening reception on Saturday, 4/14. ("hajime" will also be available for purchase online from 4/15)

東京在住の７人のアーティストのコラボレーションで新しいジン「hajime」が生まれました。「マガジン」の「ジン」から由来している名前、ジンというのは個人またはコレクティブが自分から作り、出版する雑誌です。自分で全部しないといけない大変さの一方、メインストリームの雑誌や漫画などより取り扱うテーマや表現の仕方は自由があります。今回の「hajime」では東京が出身ではない７人はイラスト、コミック、詩などを通じて、「東京の第一印象」を描きます。

4/14(土)から4/20(金)までジンになった原画作品をninetytwo13ギャラリーで展示します！７人の「東京」を発見しに来てください。「hajime」ジンは4/14のオープニングレセプションで特別割引で販売しています。（4/15以降はネット販売もします！）

Tania is an illustrator from Spain and currently living in Tokyo. She likes to communicate ideas through illustrations made with simple shapes and colours. She also makes zines and graphic stories.

Born and raised in the San Fernando Valley. She enjoys traveling to cat islands to observe and draw cats. Trying to learn how to draw dogs that don't look like cats.
