    Agenda

    19:00 〜 19:30 Doors open

Grab a drink and catch up with your fellow Rubyists.

19:30 〜 19:50 Building awesome APIs with Ruby and Grape Laura Eck

Ever ended up slightly (or very) frustrated trying to use Rails controllers to build clear and understandable API endpoints? If so, this talk is for you. If not, this talk is for you anyways because you'll know what to do when it happens.

Grape is a framework for creating RESTful APIs in Ruby that can run on Rack or integrate cleanly into other frameworks like Rails or Sinatra. It's easy to use, provides super convenient parameter validation, error handling, and lots of other functionality to help you build maintainable and extendable REST APIs. This talk will give an introduction to using Grape with and without Rails and provide some examples to put you right on track to start building your own API with Grape.
