As a Senior Learning and Development Specialist / Facilitator, you will work with our team to create and deliver the most engaging and impactful learning experiences possible.

• You are a creative, experienced, and passionate Learning and Development Specialist who will help design, develop and deliver great learning experiences for both Moon and our ecosystem
• You are an experienced and confident bilingual Facilitator of live in-person and remote learning events and workshops
• You thrive using adult learning theory and the latest learning experience design methods to build innovative learning solutions tailored for content and audience
• Your learning solutions may include live workshops, seminars, training sessions, case-study analysis, webinars, e-learning (video, infographics, games, interactive), simulations, a blended approach, or a new creative solution brainstormed by you!

What You’ll Do at Moon

• Working with a diverse set of learners across both Moon and our parent organization, you will need a creative human-centered approach to assess learning needs, a keen understanding of effective and agile design methods, and a technical aptitude to produce content and materials at speed
• You will partner with Moon’s other learning and development staff, subject matter experts and also stakeholders in our parent organization to scope, design, and build learning solutions
• You will create learning experiences that engage and excite Moon and parent company employees while aligning with business needs, satisfying resource constraints, and delivering on intended learning and business outcomes
• You will use your creativity elevate our current programs to a higher level of effectiveness and impact and constantly seek to improve them
• You will create content, learning experiences and programs using the most up-to-date methodology to remain agile and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• You will use learning analytics and user feedback to recommend improvements for each design cycle
• You will find new ways to produce content that scales and resonates with our increasingly global, busy audience

The Must-Haves

• You are bilingual in Japanese and English in both verbal and written communication; you are confident in facilitating live in-person workshops and educational experiences in both Japanese and English
• You are comfortable with ambiguity, new technology, and welcoming of the challenge of working at a fast-paced company like Moon
• You are passionate about the learner experience and how to make it better, open to feedback, and constantly striving to improve our offerings
• You are able to work collaboratively with multiple partners, managing input while owning and driving the development of the content you make
• You have demonstrated knowledge of adult learning theory standard methodologies and experience designing and delivering innovative learning experiences
• You have the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects, deliverables, and competing priorities with a proven record of success

The Nice-to-Haves

• You have experience with the design of e-learning content and virtual learning experiences
• You have visual/graphic design skills and comfort turning source materials into interactive, visually-appealing, and engaging multimedia products
• You have experience with mobile learning, gamification, and other interactive learning methodologies
• You have experience with LMS / LXP management
• You have experience with learning-oriented data analysis
• You have experience working with startups, ventures, Silicon Valley tech companies, and/or Japanese consolidated trading companies (Sogo-shosha)
