Food-E is looking to hire React Native Engineers to join the development team for our applications.

In this role you will assist with development tasks in our roadmap, work to provide technical feedback to the business team to help plan the roadmap of next features as well as provide day-to-day operational support to the client management team.

You’ll have the opportunity to work in a growing startup and help shape the road forward with the company when it comes to technology choices, keeping things cutting edge with room for experimentation. While the main focus of the work is on the React Native experience, you will also have a chance to grow to learn other technologies used in our complete tech stack.

Technical/operational support will include but not limited to the following:

• Provide estimates to help plan the roadmap
• Ad-hoc report for the management team
• Technical support for issues with logistic integration

The Candidate should be comfortable working without constant supervision and be able to identify and prioritize tasks, there will always be room to grow within the company for those willing to take on the responsibilities.

As it is a critical role as part of the development, applicants should expect that some weekend work for troubleshooting and executing system changes will be necessary to avoid disruption of restaurant operations. While most of our systems are already implemented to support over the air deployment with little impact, some services might need to be deployed off hours.

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Fluent or Business level English (Speaking / Reading / Writing)
• Fundamental knowledge of React Native, Node.js, Javascript, HTML, CSS.
• Familiar with Strapi and Graphql for API development
• Familiar with deployment pipeline to the different stores (Google, Apple)
• Familiar with the Expo open-source platform for over the air deployments

Preferred Requirements

• Japanese skills a plus but not required
• Experience with Ruby on Rails a net positive
