About me
My name is Takako Miki. I prefer to use MIKITAKAKO as artist name. I am a Japan-based freelance Illustrator. I studied illustration in Kingston University London from 2013 to 2014. My main focus is fashion, researching cultural contexts and its effects on our daily lives.

Narrative of the day

I studied Japanese style painting. I prefer to use Sumi-ink for my illustration, I love ink bleed on Washi-paper, because I am able to gain unexpected and a new perspective.
I met her in Brick Lane, London. I was impressed by her rock-steady eyes.

Kuhi dog

It is my personal memorabilia of my dog (she is still fine). My aim in this project was to make beautiful gradients without halftones in silkscreen printing. I used opaque ink, I was able to represent my drawing in the printing.

I recently draw personal items especially fashion items as my private project.
It could be alternative approach to keeping healthy attachment in a psychology treatment. In order to represent a special attachment of the object, I use scratch drawing and Cut-Outs techniques.身の回りの衣服やそれにまつわる品々を日々イラストにしています。
