Hello,

My name is Milenko and I am a painter/illustrator currently based in Tokyo. I came from Serbia two years ago to study oil painting at the Tokyo Geidai and am currently a second year postgraduate student. I'm interested in both contemporary and classical painting and illustration. Looking forward to connecting with like minded people and creatives!

    I started this picture being attracted to the geometry of the traditional kimono wear. The figure is approximately life-size and I painted it during several sessions with the model.     This painting started as a series of sketches at the Tsukiji market and then turned into a studio project with friends posing for different roles. I like the atmosphere of the old shopfronts, very glad to have had the opportunity to record some of them before the main market moved.
