I write fictional short stories not set in any genre. During the day I dress up as an epidemiologist and try to navigate the abstract conventions of science as they clash with the concrete realities of fiction. I also like painting and drawing, especially because it helps me to see and therefore write better.
I was born in Florida (USA) and have lived in Boston, New Orleans, Chicago, Chapel Hill, and Atlanta, as well as Havana (Cuba) and Chiang Mai (Thailand).
