About me

Hey!
I'm Kathryn. I've been living in Tokyo for almost 2 years now and been loving every minute of it. I've always been passionate about visually creating and documenting what I experience. My first camera was a dinky plastic Little Tyke 35mm kids camera given to my by my grandparents and it came with me everywhere until finally being lost in a move somewhere.

I've lived all over the US, and in Saudi Arabia and Switzerland, thanks to my dad's marketing job that moved us around every 3 years, so I am a fully fledged 3rd culture kid and will always feel an itch to be on the move and exploring. I've loved being able to photograph and film the beauty of Japan and hope to continue to do so for many years and take part in more creative collaborations.

I am very interested in travel photography and videography and would love to creatively document different areas throughout Japan and their traditional and local appeal. I am also interested in creative fashion photography and video, especially using analog formats like super 8mm for moving images and 35mm film for stills. I like to try and create a timeless, ethereal feel to my work.
