On a professional level it's my job to seek out creatives young and old in all cities and give them a voice at a global scale - that's what we do at the organisation I work at: PechaKucha.
I'm personally fascinated by the historical crossroads of computation, biology, and design that we find ourselves at this very moment. Did you know that there's a design firm growing biodegradeable bricks made of mushroom roots? Or that there's an offshoot project of Google that's using highly-focused radar - a seemingly oldfangled technology - to build non-touch, gesture-based interfaces? I love learning about this stuff.
