I was born in Izmir in 1979. After graduating from painting department of the fine art faculty in Dokuz Eylul University in 2008, I had spent three years in art-painting in Istanbul. I moved to Tokyo in 2011. Since then, I have been producing my works in Tokyo and also in Izmir.

Artist Statement

I base my work on the problems of individuals and on imaginary spaces. Because of this I think that I meet with people at a shared point. The spaces I create display the disconnect between the fear of loneliness that everyone occasionally experiences and the life that everyone imagines for themselves.

I create distinctive works that are able to symbolize this predicament by thinking of those who -- lacking the courage to face their fears -- struggle to have an identity and obfuscate reality in order to relieve themselves from the pressure of not having an identity.
