About me

I am an Australian and have worked as a photographer for 9 years.
My approach to photography is grounded in my passion for stories, ideas and the people and places they are built around. I like to use the camera to capture moments, tell stories and explore beauty in the world.

I'm very versatile and can photograph all genres. Personally I love connecting with people and capturing the extraordinary within them. I am in awe of the Japanese landscape and hope to make capturing it part of my life's work.

I have photographed campaigns for major companies including Mercedes Benz, Sony, Sanyo, P&G, TaTa Group, Virgin Australia Airlines and many more.
I'm inspired by the stories people inhabit and the ideas that can change the way people think.

It's great to be living and working in Tokyo. I'm excited to meet new people, get involved with different opportunities and further discover and explore Japan.
Please feel free to get in contact as I would love to work with you and help you translate your ideas into powerful images.

My Creations

  1. This was a campaign I photographed for Sony Ericsson
The campaign promoted the high quality camera feature of the phone
I was asked to appropriate an everyday Australian setting as Michelangelo's 'The creation of Adam'.
It was a really exciting brief to work on and I enjoyed the challenge of... continue reading (0, 1 image)

  2. Battleship Island

    15 March 2016

An incredible place with an incredible History
Gunkanjima or Battleship Island is an abandoned island about 15 kilometres out to sea from Nagasaki. It also featured in the James Bond film Skyfall
I wanted to photograph the Island as per my impression.
This image featured in Creative Review's Photography Annual. ... continue reading (0, 1 image)

  3. This campaign was awarded a bronze at Young Guns in the craft category
The challenge was for these 'numbers made from objects' to not look like a bunch of stuff just retouched together. I felt challenged to create a style of photography that I had never seen. So I used... continue reading (1, 1 image)

  4. The Atlantean

    25 March 2016

Part of a fashion series inspired by old comic book heroines and fantasy characters then expressed through styling, hair, make up and lighting techniques
    Dress and headpiece by Prada
    The Atlantean
Shrouded in mist, she sits gracefully near the water. Like mother of pearl, light and colour interact, her scales... continue reading (0, 1 image)

  5. Quiet reflection

    30 March 2016

Beyond the hills morning light begins to glow
Vapor forms in the cool air creating a thin veil
    Tones suppresed, colours restrained,
Morning stillness mirrored in frosted glass

  6. Florascopes

    12 April 2016

I am inspired by the inherent beauty and complexity contained in flowers
What an incredible part of creation there exists in this world that provides so much appreciation for the aesthetic, for pattern, shape and form
Captivated by this subject matter I took it upon myself to indulge this appreciation... continue reading (0, 1 image)

  7. Golden week sunset

    25 May 2016

I spent a few days during Golden week looking for a unique vista of Tokyo Tower
I finally found a viewpoint that included the dynamic of other tall towers in the area. The roppongi cluster and other tall structures framing the view. I waited for the final burst of Golden... continue reading (0, 1 image)
