About me
Hi. I'm an Australian photographic artist and visual essayist based in Tokyo, Japan.
My interest in Japanese culture was kindled by Japanese film studies at university – and my first experiences with sushi around the same time. Film studies also sparked my interest in photography, which I found more satisfying – more immediate, more focused, more spontaneous – than filmmaking.
My photography explores both narrative and conceptual ideas and looks to reveal the visual poetry of the places, people and objects it documents.
