Alone on the Alien Highway

Alone on the Alien Highway

This piece is drawn freehand with markers on canvas-board. It started as lines which formed the intersections of "highways" and then I began to fill in the shapes with a variety of patterns.

Before finishing, I accidentally dropped a marker, which marked inside the paths which I had planned to keep pristine! There's no undo so I had to come up with a solution. Should give up on the idea and fill in between the lines? Should I put dots all over the highways?

You know, it kinda looks like a single car on the highway... all alone... Aha! That's a great name for the piece!!
