Japanese Spring

Japanese Spring

Being able to photograph the Sakura blooming is an experience hard to describe. During all the trips prior to moving to Japan I was never able to see the arrival of Spring, even last year when I just arrived I only missed it for a few days. This early blooming Kawazu Sakura was unexpectedly found on the way back of my street photography lunch breaks, in a small park hidden park in the middle of Yoyogi 4-chome near Hatsudai. I hope you can enjoy it as much as I do!

Nice! 90% of the time I photograph sakura the sky is dark and moody. I think over seven years I've had blue skies for sakura photos twice.

So tempting to skip work when the blossoms are out on a blue sky.
