We were approached by a local artist to help realize her vision for an upcoming art exhibit at Toronto’s Nuit Blanche Festival. She wanted us to help capture the magic and mystery of the Canadian wilderness from her childhood memories.
Our objective was to create a mysterious nighttime environment that transported exhibit visitors to the Canadian wilderness.
We conjured up an enchanted forest that came alive with magic and mystery, remembering as children the questions we asked about what spirits lived in the woods and allowed our imagination to roam.
‘Conjuring’ was a large-scale installation that required dynamic animated elements to be 3D projection-mapped on and around 200 paper sculptures to create a spatial experience for visitors to explore and surrender to their imagination.
I am an Experience Design Director pursuing my dream of doing design in Japan. I spend my time between Tokyo and Osaka.
