Krypto approached me to work on the exploration, research, and design of their cryptocurrency trading web application.
The product was designed following a rigorous process of comparative studies, user research, and surveys. It also included user testing as well as ideation exercises during the exploration phase.
The MVP result is a dark themed, easy-to-use application for first-time crypto users who are looking into getting started with cryptocurrency trading. The main aim is to lower the barrier of entry whilst keeping users informed and aware of their portfolio growth and performance.
Landing page
Krypto's landing page is succinct and approachable. This view, above the fold, works as a quick fire way to onboard new users and give an idea of the product.
Dashboard
The end product. As always, even though there is a dark UI and low contrast, all colors are WCAG compliant.
Wireframing examples
Wireframing played a large part of the UX process. From the very first steps of the user, the whole journey was drawn up and user tested for optimal results.
Onboarding
With the UI being especially dedicated to amateur crypto-currency users, onboarding added a much needed level of guidance.
Additional options
Although core functions are offered to the users from the base "dashboard" view, additional options are easy to discover, user-friendly, and with a plethora of support resources.
Mobile web app
As a web app, Krypto is easily adapted for mobile devices with core functions such as monitoring, buying, and selling being more prominent for mobile users.
