Shopping basket

Shopping basket

With the covid-19 situation, the supermarket was my only outing like for many. Produce being neatly laid in the shopping basket in the register is a part of the vernacular in Japan but this period made my pay more attention to it. Although visually pleasing (depending on the store clerk's personality type getting it right might feel pleasing as well), it's fairly impractical from the customer's point of view. Temporary like a perfectly arranged dish at a nice restaurant, the shopping basket compositions are rarely recorded - which inspired me to capture this.
