Another portrait made for the book project, Play For a Living, in which quotes by famous people who embraced “play” in their philosophy or life's work are paired with their portraits made by contemporary artists.
George Cockcroft (a.k.a. Luke Rhinehart) has been inspiring and deeply influential in my approach to life and personal philosophy, both through his novels and as a mentor.
His lighthearted approach to life maybe best expressed in his words:
“ Let go. Be loose. Move on.
Be a nobody and enjoy it.
Always remember there is nothing to do and no one to be.
Hallelujah! ”
Luke Rhinehart - a multiplicity of characters: trickster, comic, philosopher, guru - floating within the canvas of a sparkling ocean, an environment close to his heart.
Constructed in Photoshop from media photographs, personal and found images.
I make photographs, 360-panoramas, composites and collages.
