Mural at Webase Hostel by Fern Choonet | Canvas Tokyo

Last month, I had the opportunity to paint a large size mural at Webase Hostel in Kamakura. It was my second time painting a mural but my first to design the entire mural and paint majority of the wall painting. With the help of illustrator/designer Chiyun Yeh (Yochan), the mural was completed in 4 days.

The theme the client requested was to include landmarks of Kamakura so I decided to incorporate elements known to the town such as the beach, bamboo forest, Enoden, Mt. Fuji, Enoshima caves and hydrangea.
