Somewhere between Greece and Germany of my youth, headlines started seeming biased. It was the Cold War still, and roaming further, news appeared more and more contrived. All before the big Web, long ago. Now, in Asia, the interweaving of promotion and news is so routine it's normal. Asking a person to manufacture his own news out of thin air - with its authentic flair - is one way to see the mirage.

I have sense for graphic composition related to advertising; writing less and less, but perceiving more.
